"We were so fortunate to win this unbelievable prize. The golf was excellent, the facilities too magnificent for words & the organisation absolutely fantastic. Anyone who plays or has played golf should buy a ticket. We were extra fortunate in that we were able to take our daughter & son-in-law with us which enabled us to have a family gathering in the U.S. After the golf, Leigh & Justin jetted off to Canada for a few days to visit his brother & family while Anne & I flew to Los Angeles where our son & his family live. Leigh & Justin joined us in L.A. where I was I was treated to an early 70th birthday meal. A special treat from our son was tickets to the Long Beach Indy Car Grand Prix. We visited coastal places such as Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Newport Beach & Malibu. Leigh & Justin also hired a car & visited Las Vegas & the Grand Canyon while we stayed on with the family in L.A. Finally we all flew home together cherishing wonderful memories." - Dave Segor

The annual DLSHCC Highland Gathering is a wonderful event at the College!

This is just the place if you wish to get a little taste of what Scottish heritage is all about. There are only a few schools in the city that have their own pipe bands, and this is your chance to hear and experience them for yourself.

The De La Salle Highland Gathering takes place on the high school’s rugby fields, providing guests with ample space to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the bagpipes and dancers. To keep everyone thoroughly entertained, there is a market with a wide variety of stalls as well as plenty of entertainment for the children, a beer tent, food stalls, tea garden and much more!

To round off the day, all 25 competing bands and some of the highland dancers join together for a performance which is a 'goose-bump' event.
